It is a phrase by Joseph Pilates that summarizes his Method in a few words. Although it is a living system and has evolved over the years and with people, the Method continues to maintain health as its foundation above all else.
Taught by physiotherapists, at Nectar de Lotus we understand Pilates as a therapeutic exercise, as a movement therapy that will improve our physical abilities, relieve pain caused by multiple pathologies and prevent the appearance of injuries.

The body is lazy by nature, and we must stimulate it to move. But not just any stimulus; each person must do the exercise that their body needs, depending on their pathologies and conditions. It is very common to find people who have been injured or worsened due to improper exercise.

Our idea is to carry out Pilates classes in an enjoyable, playful way, without forgetting the basic principles of the Method, which have been key to its success: breathing, concentration, energy center, control, fluidity and precision. By including the mind in the exercises, we begin to be aware of our posture, how we move, how we improve and better understand what our body needs at all times.
